Mumbai-based Cardiologist Dr. Anup R Taksande is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiology at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College (LTMMC) and Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General (LTMG) Hospital, Mumbai. His main areas of interest are Interventional Cardiology, Paediatric Cardiology, Critical Care and Emergency Management.

Dr. Anup Taksande obtained the DM (Cardiology) superspeciality degree at LTMMC and LTMG Hospital in July 2010. He also holds an MD postgraduate degree in Internal Medicine from Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He graduated (MBBS) from Grant Medical College and Sir J J Group of Hospitals, Mumbai. All his degrees were obtained at First Attempt.  

During the years of his studies, internship and residency, Dr. Taksande gained experience at the Department of Radiotherapy at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Sir J J Group of Hospitals, and LTMG Hospital.

Dr. Taksande is regularly involved in research studies, several of which have culminated in co-authored scientific papers that have either been presented at conferences and/or published in journals.
